(1) The office may issue an ordinary passport to Nepali citizens and their children who have not reached the age of sixteen.

(2) The passport as per sub-rule (1) shall be valid for ten years from the date of issue. .

However, the passport of a minor under ten years of age shall be valid for five years from the date of issue.

(5) The office may issue ordinary passports through expedited service and the issuance of such passports will incur a double fee. An ordinary passport may be issued.

(7) For passports as per sub-rule (6), a fee will be charged as mentioned in Schedule-4.
