(1) If any person feels that any information related to him under the charge, protection or control of any public body is incorrect or not based on facts, he may at any time submit an application to the relevant public body in the prescribed format to correct such information. But if he has taken any benefit, advantage or facility based on such information, he cannot apply to correct it.
(2) When making an application in accordance with sub-section (1), he shall also file the details of the reasons why such information is incorrect or not based on facts and the evidence to confirm or prove the facts or details claimed by him.
(3) If an application is received in accordance with sub-section (1), the public body may investigate as prescribed and if it finds that such information should be corrected, it may make the necessary corrections.
