Section 13
Continuity of Information
(1) A statement of registered continuation may extend the validity period of the notice by mentioning the following details:- (a) Details identifying the initial notice from the registration number, (b) Details identifying the mortgagee mentioned in the notice authorizing the continuation, (c) Registration of the notice Details of continuing effectiveness of the notice by registering the details of the authorized mortgagee. (2) The details of the continuation may be registered in accordance with this Act six months before the expiry of the period of five years in which the notice remains in effect. If such details are not registered, such notice shall remain in effect for a period of five years from the date on which the notice would have expired. (4) In case there is more than one mortgagee mentioned in the notice, who has authorized to register the details of continuation, only in the case of such mortgagee, sub-section ( 3) The notice shall remain in force until the period mentioned in (5) According to sub-section (3) if another continuation statement is not registered in accordance with the authority of the mortgagee before the expiry of the period in which the notice shall remain in force, the notice period shall expire in the case of such person taking the mortgage. In order to continue the validity period of the notice, the details of the latest continuation should be registered in the same way as the notice should be registered.
