Rule 89
Computation of service period
(1) For the purposes of this paragraph, when calculating the period of service, the total period of service of a military person permanently appointed to a post in the Nepalese Army (if it is broken in between, then the broken period shall be deducted).
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (1), if a person who has received gratuity is re-appointed to the post of Nepali Army, his previous service period will be added only if he returns the amount of gratuity received earlier.
(3) While calculating the service period according to sub-rule (1), the period of suspension shall also be counted.
