Rule 50
Regarding Military Adviser/Floating Appointment

(1) Selection of officers for military advisers and floating appointments shall be made on the following basis:-
(a) Passed Staff College,
(b) Able to read, write and speak the English language,
(c) Completed one year of permanent service and not exceeding four years,
(d) Graduated,
(e) Not having been convicted of human rights violations,
(f) Able to carry out work in the international field in a diplomatic manner (g) The senior candidate among those who have qualified above.
(2) There will be a committee in the Nepali Army to select from among the potential candidates who have qualified. (3) Nepali Army will send the names of the selected candidates as per sub-rule (2) to the Ministry. The Ministry will have to see whether the prescribed criteria are fulfilled and appoint in the case of military advisers and nominate in the case of floating appointments.
