During Swayambar, the bridegroom should not give the bride a gold ring up to half a tola or a gold ring of up to two tolas after worshiping according to their custom and Vedic method. The groom should not be given any material from the bride's side.
(2) Not more than five people except the priest should be taken to perform Swayamber.
