(1) Every Nepali citizen must be a member of the health insurance program.
(2) It shall be the duty of their custodians and parents to enroll newborns, children, senior citizens, disabled persons and the disabled in the health insurance program.
(3) It shall be the duty of the manager of such institutions to enroll the dependents in the health insurance program in old age homes, orphanages, children's reform homes etc.
(4) According to the prevailing law, the people who are considered to be national servants and the families of workers who go for foreign employment must join the health insurance program.
(5) The designated organization established in accordance with the prevailing law shall make the persons working in that organization join the health insurance program.
(6) The board shall issue health insurance articles as prescribed to the families who join the health insurance program in accordance with this section.
(7) The health insurance article according to sub-section (6) shall include the services to be received by the insured, the amount of contribution to be paid for using the service, etc.
