Section 48
Proceedings on claims
(1) If an application is made by someone according to section 47, the concerned forest officer shall conduct the necessary investigation and decide whether the applicant's right has been claimed or not and inform the applicant thereof. .
(2) According to sub-section (1), a person who is not satisfied with the decision made by the forest officer that the right has not been claimed can appeal to the concerned provincial forest director within fifteen days from the date of receiving the notification of such decision.
(3) Denying someone's right to any timber or the loss caused by the blocking or loss of such timber cannot be claimed from the Government of Nepal or the Forest Officer.
(4) Wewarisi or Dariya Burdi woods, which have not reached anyone's right, can be sold and distributed as prescribed by the Divisional Forest Officer.
