The duties of the Hakim shall be as follows:-
(1) To submit a recommendation to the Government of Nepal to establish the Elephant Sanctuary in a place favorable to the health of elephants,
(2) To manage the elephant's bathing, sleeping time and grass feed etc. with full responsibility while maintaining the health and orderliness of the elephant,
(3) Making proper arrangements for the use of elephants so as not to harm the health of the elephants,
(4) Arrangements for other necessary work such as grass and garbage removal.
