(1) Except for the price determined under Section 2, a person who trades in any commodity specified by the Nepal Government, in the case of making a profit of more than 100,000, or taking advantage of the shortage, and selling the commodity at an unfair profit. If he does, he may be imprisoned for up to one year or fined up to two lakh fifty thousand rupees or both.

(2) Notwithstanding anything written in section 2, in the case of imported goods, the loss incurred during export shall also be recovered in sub-section (1). (3) Every wholesale or retail seller must display the price list of the goods specified by the Government of Nepal at the place of sale in such a way that everyone can see them. Failure to do so may be imprisoned for up to 1 year or fined or both. p>
