: In these regulations, unless the subject or context requires otherwise, - (a) "Act" means the Civil Aviation (Civil Aviation) Act, 2015. (b) "Authority" means the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority established under the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority Act, 2053.
(c) "Director General" means the Director General of the Department (d) “Convention” means the Convention on International Civil Aviation signed at Chicago on the 7th day of December, 1944, and that term—
(1) any amendments thereto enacted in accordance with Article 94 (a) of the said Mahasindh and approved by both parties, and
(2) refers to any annex passed in accordance with Article 90 of the Convention or any amendment to such annex to the extent applicable to both parties within the stipulated time.
(e) "Annex" means the international standards and recommended practices (International Standards and Recommended Practices) determined by that organization as part of the Convention on International Civil Aviation.  This regulation came into force from 2058.12.8. (Nepal Gazette 2058.12.8)
(f) "Manual" shall mean the manuals, requirements and directives made by the authority in accordance with Rule 81 for the implementation of the rules, manuals and standards prescribed by the International Civil Aviation Organization and not contrary to the Act and these regulations.
(g) "Crew" means Pilot, Co-Pilot, Flight Engineer, Radio Officer, Flight Navigator, Air Hostess, Kevin Attendant and Pursers. 
