: In this Act, unless the subject or context otherwise requires, –
(a) "Board" means the Nepal Tourism Board established as per Section 3.
(b) "Committee" means the Executive Committee constituted as per Section 9.
(c) "Chairman" means the Chairman of the Committee.
(d) "Vice-Chairman" means the Vice-Chairman of the Committee.
(e) "Member" means a member of the committee and the word also refers to the chairman, vice-chairman and member-secretary of the committee.
(f) "Executive Head" means the Executive Head of the Board appointed as per section 14.
(g) "Tourist" means a non-Nepali citizen who comes to the State of Nepal for a visit from a foreign country.
(h) “tourism business” means,–
(1) The business of providing national or international transportation services for tourists (2) To provide transportation, accommodation, tour arrangements, restaurant services, sightseeing, road shows, mountain climbing, hiking, water trips, and other adventure and entertainment services to tourists in any place within the state of Nepal or outside the state of Nepal, in whole or in part, and for that purpose, foreign Transactions of a money-making nature,
(3) The business of selling retail goods in whole or in part to tourists (4) Doing business as per sub-sections (1), (2) and (3) shall also mean the act of conducting art, culture presentation or any other exhibition, project, fair, promotion, dissemination campaign in order to attract tourists.
(i) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means as prescribed or prescribed in this Act or the rules or regulations made under this Act.
