In these Regulations, unless the context or the context otherwise requires,–
(a) "Act" means the Animal Health and Animal Services Act, 2055.
(b) "Disinfection" means the process of destroying infectious elements in an item by chemical or physical methods as mentioned in Schedule-1.
(c) "Cold storage" means a place where animal products, biological materials or animal products are kept at a suitable temperature from a technical point of view to prevent quality deterioration.
(d) "authentic certificate" means, in the case of animals and birds to be imported, a certificate certified by the animal quarantine officer or veterinary officer of the relevant country that the health of such animal is good and in the case of animal drugs and biological substances, the body that controls the quality of such drugs and biological substances. It should be a certificate certifying that the quality of the substance is correct.
(e) "Quarantine certificate" means the certificate issued by the quarantine officer after completing the quarantine procedure for animals, animal products or animal products imported into Nepal.
(f) "Biological security" means the measures adopted by any animal farm to prevent the spread of various infections from the external environment.
