In this Act, unless the context or the context otherwise requires,–
(a) "vessel" means a vessel of any tonnage or description suitable for navigation, whether or not carried on for profit, and includes any vessel of any class or size whether under sail, sail, steam or motor; Also refers to belly (hull) nautical (keel) rigging and equipment.
(b) "merchant vessel" means a sea-going vessel of 10 gross register tons or more, used or intended for the carriage of persons or goods by sea, or engaged in fishing, towing or any other type of navigation at sea; Should.
(c) "Boat" means a navigational craft (navigational craft) with a carrying capacity of less than 10 gross register tons used or intended for carrying people or goods or for fishing, towing or any other type of navigational work on water. br> (d) "Nepal Shipping Office" means the Nepal Shipping Office established as per sub-section (3) of section 4.
(e) "Registrar" means the Registrar appointed under sub-section (3) of section 4 of this Act.
(f) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this Act.
