In this Act, unless the context or the context otherwise requires,–
(a) "University" means Midwestern Regional University established in accordance with Section 3.
(b) "Assembly" means the University Assembly as per section 7.
(c) "Academic Council" means the Academic Council as per Section 10.
(d) "Executive Council" means the Executive Council as per Section 12.
(e) "Service Commission" means the Service Commission as per section 21.
(f) "Faculty" means the faculty as per section 14.
(g) "Research Centre" means the Research Center as per section 15.
(h) "Council of Education" means the Council of Education as per Section 16.
(i) "Campus" means the physical campus of the University and the term also refers to the campus affiliated to the University.
(j) "Curriculum Development Center" means the Curriculum Development Center as per section 18.
(k) "Chancellor" means the Chancellor as per section 22.
(l) "Vice-Chancellor" means Vice-Vice-Chancellor as per Section 23.
(d) "Vice-Chancellor" means the Vice-Chancellor as per section 24.
(d) "Registrar" means the Registrar as per section 25.
(n) "Dean" means the head of the faculty.
(p) "Director" means the director as per section 27.
(h) "Teacher" means professors, associate professors, deputy professors and assistant professors who provide education or conduct research in the university, and the term also refers to instructors at various levels of the university and persons designated as teachers in the rules made under this Act. br> (d) "Employee" means a person other than a teacher who performs managerial and support functions in connection with the operation of the university.
(d) "Student" means male and female students enrolled in the campus and studying or doing research.
(n) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this Act.
