Unless the subject or context requires otherwise, in these rules:-

(a) “insured goods” means letters, currency notes, cheques, negotiable instruments, postal items enclosed in envelopes; .
(b) "Post" means the posts specified in the Schedule to these rules and the posts specified by the Director of Posts from time to time as required.
(c) "Controller" means the Zonal Chief appointed by the Government of Nepal.
(d) "Delivery" means delivery to the addressee if the insured postal item is delivered to the addressee or the heir authorized by him to whom the item is to be delivered.
(e) “Act” means the Inland Postal Goods (Insuring) Act, 2019.
