In these Regulations, unless the subject or the context otherwise requires,–
(a) "Chairman" means the Chairman of the Committee.
(b) "Single woman" means the following economically disadvantaged women:-
(1) A divorced woman,
(2) widow,
(3) An unmarried woman who has completed thirty-five years of age,
(4) A woman whose husband has disappeared or disappeared for more than five years,
(5) A woman living separately from her husband by partition or as if separated.
(c) "Fund" means the Single Women's Protection Fund as per rule 3.
(d) "Ministry" means the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare.
(e) "Member" means a member of the committee and the term also refers to the chairman and member-secretary.
(f) "Member-Secretary" shall mean the Member-Secretary of the Committee.
(g) "Committee" means the fund management committee as per rule 6.
