Unless the subject or the context requires otherwise, in this Act,-

(a)     “Employee of other services” means a person employed at the local level at the time of the commencement of the Staff Adjustment Ordinance, 2075 on permanent appointment from the former local body. Employees or permanent employees of committees, commissions, foundations or organizations of a similar nature whose services have been transferred to the state or local level. (c) "Ministry" means the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration of the Government of Nepal.

(e)   “Adjustment” means the act of posting an employee to a position in the service of the Union, State or local level in accordance with this Act.

(f)   “Committee” means the section It shall mean the Organization and Management Survey Committee as per sub-section (2) of 3.

(g) "Government Service" means the Civil Service Act, 2049, the Nepal Health Service Act, 2053 and the Legislature-Parliament Secretariat Act, 2064 shall mean the services established.

(h) “Constitution” shall mean the Constitution of Nepal. or sub-group shall mean the ministry or agency that administers it.
