In this Act, unless the subject or subject has another meaning,–
(a) "Council" means the Nepal Agricultural Research Council established as per Section 3.
(b) "Committee" means the Executive Committee constituted as per Section 7.
(c) "Chairman" means the Chairman of the Committee.
(d) "Member" means the member of the committee and the word also refers to the chairman and member-secretary of the committee.
(e) "Executive Director" means the Executive Director appointed or designated as per Section 13.
(E1) "National Agricultural Policy" means the agricultural policy brought to light by the Government of Nepal to implement the long-term agricultural plan and five-year plan decided by the National Planning Commission.
(f) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the regulations made under this Act.
