In these rules, unless the subject or context requires otherwise,–
(a) "Act" means the Civil Service Act, 2049.
(b) "Regulations" means the Civil Service Rules, 2050.
(c) "Service" means the Nepal Justice Service as per Rule 3.
(d) "Group" means a group as per sub-rule (1) of rule 4.
(e) "Commission" means the Judicial Service Commission as per Article 114 of the Interim Constitution of Nepal, 2063.
(f) "Employee" means a civil servant of the Service.
