Unless the subject or context requires otherwise, in these regulations,–

(a) “Act” means the Animal Slaughterhouses and Meat Inspection Act, 2055.
(b) "Department" means Animal Services Department of the Government of Nepal.
(c) "Office" means the District Animal Services Office.
(d) "Local Body" means Village Development Committee or Municipality.
