In this Act, unless the subject or context requires otherwise, –

(a) “Private Firm” means a firm or company or company carrying on the business of export or import of industrial business by a person under a private or assumed name; Must remember.
(b) "Export" means the export of goods from the State of Nepal to foreign countries.
(c) "Importer" means the importation of goods from abroad into the state of Nepal.
(d) "Notified Order" means an order published in the Nepal Gazette.
(e) "Concerned Department" shall mean the Department of Commerce, Supply and Consumer Interest Protection for the matter of commercial firms and the Department of Industry for the matters of other industries other than that and the term shall mean the Commerce and Industry of the State Government for the matter of commerce and domestic and small industries. It will also refer to the viewing department or office.
(f) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this Act.
