In this Act, unless the subject or the context otherwise requires,–
(a) "Chairman" means the Chairman of the Commission.
(b) "Commission" means the State Public Service Commission under Article 244 of the Constitution.
(c) "Province and other government services" means other government services established in accordance with the laws of the state except the state civil service and the state police service.
(d) "State Civil Service" means State Police Service and other State Government Services and State Government Services other than the services specified by the State Law as not State Civil Service.
(e) "State Police Service" means the State Police Service established by law.
(f) "Organized organization" means an institution, company, bank, committee or commission, institute, authority, corporation, establishment, board established or established by the provincial government in which fifty percent or more of the shares or assets are owned or controlled by the provincial government, Centers, councils and other organized organizations of a similar nature should be mentioned.
(g) "Member" means a member of the Commission.
(h) "Local level" means rural municipality or municipality.
(i) "Local Government Service" means the local service established by law in accordance with sub-section (3) of Article 285 of the Constitution.
(j) "Service of a local level organized organization" means the service of a local level organized organization formed in accordance with the local law.
(k) "Constitution" means the Constitution of Nepal.
