Unless the subject or context requires otherwise, in this Act,-

(a) “Bank” means the Nepal Rastra Bank established in accordance with the Nepal Rastra Bank Act, 2058.

(b) "National Debt" means the debt raised by the Government of Nepal in accordance with Section 3. Means :-

(1) Stock,

(2) Promissory Note,

(3) Bearer Bond,

(4 ) prize bond, and

(5) any other bond designated as a bond by the bank with the approval of the Government of Nepal.

(d) "stock" means registered in the bank's account and registered and transferred.

(e) “Promissory Note” means a bond that can be registered and the term also refers to a Treasury Bill.

(f) “Bearer Bond” It means a bond that has to be paid to the person who comes with a bond certificate.

(g) "Prize bond" means a bond in which the owner gets all or some of the interest amount as determined by lottery.

(h) "Owner" means a domestic or foreign person who acquires rights in bonds by purchasing bonds or acquires rights in bonds in any other way. Or should be remembered as prescribed.
