In these regulations, unless the context or context otherwise requires,-

(a)     “Act” means the National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Act, 2029.

( b) "Park" means Everest National Park, Lamtang National Park, Rara National Park, She-Fexundo National Park, Makalu Barun National Park or any other Himalayan National Park declared by the Government of Nepal under the Act.

( c) "Warden" means the chief officer of the Government of Nepal in charge of the administration of the park. (d) "Assistant Warden" means the assistant custodian of the park. p>(e) “Local person” means a person who has permanent residence in the village surrounded by the park area but not declared as a park area.
