: To develop public awareness of the importance of accounting and the economic and social responsibility of accountants for the economic development of the nation, to increase social recognition and trust in the accounting profession and to develop, protect and promote the accounting profession by realizing the importance of accounting profession and the responsibility of accountants towards the accounting profession. Since it is desirable to establish and organize the organization of Nepal Chartered Accountants, Parliament has made this Act in the twenty-fifth year of the reign of Shri 5th Maharajadhiraj Birendra Bir Bikram Shahdev.
