: To make the national economy competitive, strong and employment-oriented by maximizing the utilization of available resources for the economic prosperity of the country and to attract foreign capital, technology and investment in the fields of import substitution, export promotion and infrastructure development and production of goods or services by increasing productivity and investment-friendly environment As it is desirable to amend and unify the existing Nepali laws related to foreign investment and technology transfer to achieve sustainable economic growth through industrialization, the Federal Parliament has made this Act.
