– To bring harmony in tea and coffee cultivation and processing, produce high quality tea and coffee through the use of modern technology and formulate a solid policy for market management and export in order to systematically develop the tea and coffee industry in the country. And since it is desirable to make arrangements for the establishment of the Coffee Development Board and its operation, Parliament has enacted this Act in the twenty-second year of the reign of His Majesty Maharajadhiraj Birendra Bir Bikram Shahdev.
