Since it is desirable to regulate foreign exchange transactions to a greater extent in order to maintain the economic interests of the common people, this Act has been made in accordance with Article 93 of the Constitution of Nepal by Shri 5th Maharajadhiraj Mahendra Veer Vikram Shahdev.
