Unless the subject or the context otherwise requires, in this Act:
(a) “Music” includes singing, music composition, Badan, and dance.
(b) “Dance” means a drama, acting and Rangakarma.
(c) “Academy” means Nepal Music and Dance Academy established under Section 3.
(d) “Assembly” means the academic assembly as referred to in Section
(e) “Council” means the academic council as referred to in Section 11.
(f) “Chancellor” means the Chancellor of the Academy.
(g) “Vice-Chancellor” means the Vice-Chancellor of the Academy.
(h) “Secretary” means the Secretary of the Academy.
(i) “Office-bearer” means the Chancellor, Vice-chancellor, Secretary and nominated members of the Council.
(j) “Prescribed” or “as prescribed” means prescribed or as prescribed in the Rules framed under this Act
