Rule 137
Prior approval of study should be obtained
: (1) After the commencement of this rule, the gazetted armed police personnel who wish to study at home or abroad on private endeavor shall obtain the prior approval of the Government of Nepal and the gazetted armed police personnel shall obtain the prior approval of the Inspector General of Armed Police.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (1), prior approval shall not be required to join the examination as a private examinee and to study at the place of employment outside of office hours so as not to interfere with government work. But such an employee has to inform the agency he works for.
(3) According to sub-rule (1), the arrangement regarding the determination of equivalence of the certificates submitted after studying abroad shall be as prescribed by the Government of Nepal.
