Rule 131
Compulsory leave

(1) A teacher shall be retired from school service after completing sixty years of age. Explanation: For the purposes of this rule, the age of a teacher is calculated based on the date of birth or year indicated in the certificate of the educational institution submitted by him at the time of entering service, or the age indicated in the certificate of birth or year indicated in the certificate of citizenship or in the personal job description (citroll) filled by him when entering service. From the written date of birth or the age from the year, the age from which he retires first will be calculated on the basis.
(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rule (1), a teacher may be retired from service at any time in the following cases:-
(a) Section 11d of the Act. If a teacher fails to obtain a permanent teaching permit within the period specified in sub-section (5),
(b) If a teacher is given the opportunity to teach another subject in a school other than the subject of his teaching, even if he does not take the training or if he is not transferred to another subject in a similar subject.
(3) Community school teachers who do not attend school within fifteen days of payment of extraordinary or study leave shall be retired from service.
(4) According to clause (b) of sub-rule (2), the post of public school teacher who has retired from service and become vacant will automatically be cancelled.
