(1) Based on the seriousness of the complaint submitted before the Commission or on the basis of the preliminary investigation report according to Rule 11, if the Commission deems it necessary to conduct an investigation on such matter, it will appoint an investigation officer, specifying the period for completion of the investigation, the necessary work instructions related to the investigation, and the names of the necessary support staff.
(2) In accordance with sub-rule (1), the investigation officer shall be appointed in the format as per schedule-2.
(3) If the investigation cannot be completed within the period specified in accordance with sub-rule (1), the relevant investigation officer shall request the Commission for an additional deadline or instructions, including the proper reason.
(4) If there is a request for an extension of time according to sub-rule (3), the Commission may grant an extension of time with necessary instructions.
