Rule 53
Informal Education Council
(1) There shall be a National Non-formal Education Council having the following members for policy formulation, coordination, supervision and management of non-formal education:-
(a) Minister of Education or Minister of State – Chairman
(b) Member of the National Planning Commission (Viewing Education) – Member
(c) ………..
(d) Secretary of the Ministry – Member
(e) Secretary, Ministry of Health and Population – Member
(f) Secretary, Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration – Member (g) Secretary, Ministry of Finance – Member
(h) Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development – Member
(i) Secretary, Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare – Member
(j) One member nominated by the Ministry from among the Deans of the Faculty of Education of the University (k) Joint Secretary, Ministry (Division of Higher Education and Educational Management) – Member
(l) Director General, Education Department – Member
(d) Member-Secretary, Social Welfare Council – Member
(M) Chairman, District Development Committee Federation – Member
(n) Chairman, Municipal Federation – Member
(p) Chairman, Village Development Committee Federation – Member
(th) One member nominated by the Ministry from among the presidents of national and international non-governmental organizations (d) Representative, Teachers Union, Central Committee – Member
(d) Director, Non-formal Education Center – Member-Secretary
(2) The term of office of the member nominated as per sub-rule (1) shall be three years.
(3) Other functions, duties and rights of the non-formal education council shall be as prescribed by the Ministry.
(4) The Secretariat of the Non-formal Education Council will be located at the Non-formal Education Centre.
(5) The procedure for the meeting of the non-formal education council shall be as determined by the council itself.
