Rule 75
Disability
: (1) If an armed police officer is physically or mentally disabled to continue in the armed police service due to an accident or trauma while performing the duties of his post or in the course of training, or is physically or mentally disabled to continue in the armed police service, such armed police officer shall be entitled to disability for as long as he survives for his livelihood. As written in sub-rule (2) together with pension as written in sub-rule (3) will get disabled allowance. Explanation: For the purposes of this sub-rule, "mentally disabled" means a person who has been recommended by a board of doctors constituted by the Government of Nepal as physically or mentally disabled and unable to work in the armed police service.
(2) According to sub-rule (1), if the service period of an armed police officer who is disabled has reached the period of getting pension, he will be compensated with his immediate salary (including that if he has worked on a permanent basis or on a temporary basis) according to sub-rule (2) of rule 70. He will get disability pension equal to the amount. If the service period of such disabled armed police personnel is less than the pensionable period, according to this regulation, the remaining amount will be deducted from Damasahi for every full or half year before reaching the pensionable year. While cutting in this way, more than one third of the amount will not be deducted.
(3) In addition to the disabled pension received by the armed police personnel due to disability according to sub-rule (2), the amount of monthly disability allowance that they will receive will be equal to twenty percent of the salary they have received. Also, in the case of the disabled armed police personnel as written in (a) of the explanation section of rule 80, twenty percent of the disability allowance received by him throughout his life will also be given additional facilities as curuwa expenses. However, if an armed police officer who has received or is determined to receive a disability status re-enters any service later, he will not receive a disability status as per this rule from the date of such admission.
(4) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rule (1), any armed police officerIf an armed police officer is unable to work for the armed police service due to an accidental accident or any kind of weapon injury while engaged in an action against an armed group or any kind of armed encounter or attack, explosion or action against an armed group or other such group, such armed police personnel shall be promoted to a higher position and removed from the service. Retirement will be given and he/she will get full salary for a maximum period of seven years without exceeding the age limit. After the period of receiving full salary has passed, the armed police personnel whose service period is less than the pensionable period will get the same pension and the armed police personnel whose service period is more than the pensionable period will get the same pension.
(5) According to sub-rule (1) or (4) the full amount of the expenses incurred for treatment of injuries will be received by the concerned armed police personnel and when such treatment expenses are paid, it will not be deducted from the treatment expenses received as per sub-rule (1) of rule 83.
(6) When there is an increase in the salary of the armed police personnel of the same level, the same percentage increase in the amount of the starting point of the salary of the same level of the armed police personnel shall also be increased in the amount of the disabled person according to sub-rule (3).
(7) When the salary of an armed police officer of the same position is increased during the period of receiving benefits as per sub-rule (4), the same amount of the increase in the starting point of the salary will be increased in the salary amount of the retired armed police officer.
(8) In the event of death of a retired armed police officer who has received benefits under sub-rules (1), (2), (3) and (4), his family shall receive the same benefits as if he had received such benefits until seven years have passed and after the completion of seven years He will get pension as follows.
(a) If he is an armed police officer as per sub-rule (1), as per sub-rule (1) of rule 76,
(b) In case of armed police personnel as per sub-rule (4) as per sub-rule (2) of rule 76.   (9) For the purpose of providing disability, the Ministry will provide a certificate of disability.
