(1) The term of the license shall be as specified in the license, depending on the type of goods to be imported, usually six months and in special cases one year. The person or office receiving the license should be able to operate the goods as mentioned in the license within the term of the license. If such goods cannot be used within the specified period, if the reason is disclosed and an application is made for the extension of the period, the license issuing authority may extend the period for a maximum of six months at a time if the reason is reasonable. Those who do not operate the goods according to the license within the period specified in the license or if the period is extended, the license will be automatically revoked. If amendment is required, the licensee or the office should file a petition with the license issuing authority and if the behavior is found to be unreasonable, the license issuing authority may amend the license. The fee charged for amending any of the practices mentioned in the license shall be as prescribed by the Government of Nepal by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette.
