In these rules, unless the subject or context requires otherwise,–
(a) “Act” means “Export (Control) Act, 2013”.
(b) "Prescribed Goods" shall mean goods which have been controlled by the Government of Nepal under the Export (Control) Act, 2013 by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette so that they cannot be exported or imported without obtaining a license.
(c) "Licence" shall mean the license to be issued in accordance with Rule 4 to export or import specified goods.

(d) "Director General" shall mean the Director General of Commerce Department.
(e) "Firm" means a firm registered in accordance with the prevailing law and the term also refers to a partnership firm registered in accordance with the prevailing law.
