(1) If a journalist violates his professional code of conduct, any person may file a complaint with the Council.
(2) In case of any complaint under sub-section (1), the council may conduct the necessary investigation and conduct the following:-
(a) To cause the statement of the aggrieved party to be published in the relevant newspaper (b) To ask for forgiveness from the aggrieved party and to publish his matter in the relevant newspaper,
(c) causing any comment, article or publication material of the aggrieved party to be published in the relevant newspaper, and
(d) To recommend to the Government of Nepal to partially or completely stop the concessions or facilities he will get from the Government of Nepal for the entire period specified.
(3) The Council may order journalists who do not comply with the decision of the Council as per sub-section (2) to publish the same publicly.
(4) Before making a decision in accordance with sub-section (2) or (3), the Council shall give an opportunity to the concerned journalist to submit his explanation.
