(1) Chief Information Commissioner or Information Commissioner will be given an amount equal to one month's salary every year or the actual billed medical expenses, whichever is less, for medical expenses.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (1), if the Chief Information Commissioner and the Information Commissioner are ill and require further treatment, the amount deemed suitable by the Government of Nepal may be given for additional treatment expenses based on the recommendation of the Medical Board appointed by the Government of Nepal.
(3) Notwithstanding anything contained elsewhere in this rule, the Commission shall, in consultation with the Government of Nepal, provide health insurance for the treatment of the Chief Information Commissioner or the Information Commissioner. (Medical Insurance) can be arranged and if there is such an arrangement, the treatment expenses according to this rule will not be provided.
