(1) Any person who commits any act under section 3 shall be deemed to have committed an offense under this Act.
(2) If someone commits the following offence, the punishment will be as follows depending on the amount of the offence:-
(a) For committing an offense under clause (a) of section 3, to imprisonment for a term of two years to five years or to a fine of two lakh rupees to five lakh rupees or to both,
(b) In case of committing an offense under clause (b) or (c) of section 3, imprisonment up to three years or fine up to three lakh rupees or both,
(c) In case of an offense under Clause (d) (e) or (f) of Section 3, imprisonment up to one year or fine up to one lakh rupees or both.
(3) In case of any harm caused to a health worker, employee of a health institution or a health institution as a result of the actions taken by a person who commits an offense as per sub-section (1), the officer in charge of the case shall pay compensation for such loss from the relevant offender.
(4) When paying the compensation according to sub-section (3), the amount of the damage caused by vandalism, arson or damage to the property of the health institution shall be paid.
