Rule 37
Credit Information Center
: (1) The Ministry shall establish a credit information center in the framework of a specialized cooperative association.
(2) The basis of establishment of credit information center, membership, capital structure, organizational structure and other arrangements shall be as approved by the Ministry.
(3) Organizations that mainly deal in savings and loans, as well as multi-purpose or other thematic organizations that also deal in savings and loans can become members of the Credit Information Center.
(4) The Ministry, Nepal Savings and Credit Central Cooperative Association, Nepal Multi-Purpose Central Cooperative Association, Nepal Agricultural Cooperative Central Association, National Cooperative Development Board, National Cooperative Federation and other bodies of the Government of Nepal may participate in the credit information center.
(5) The minimum paid-up share capital for establishing a credit information center shall be five crore rupees and at least sixty percent of the amount must be collected by the institutions.
(6) There will be a Board of Directors for the operation of the Credit Information Center as follows:-
(a) Person elected by General Assembly - Chairman (b) Joint Secretary, Ministry - Member (c) Joint Secretary, Ministry of Finance - Member (d) Registrar, Cooperative Department - Member (e) Director, Nepal Bank Rastra - Member (f) Member - Secretary , National Cooperative Development Board - Member (G) Executive - Head, National Cooperative Federation - Member (H) Executive Head, Nepal Savings and Karan Central Cooperative Association - Member (J) Executive Head; Nepal Multi-Purpose Central Cooperative Association - Member (h) Executive Head, National Cooperative Bank - Member (t) Executive Head, Nepal Agricultural Cooperative Central Association - Member (r) Three "Members (d) Executive including at least one woman elected by the General Assembly Head, Cooperative Credit Information Center-Member-Secretary (7) The term of office of the office bearer elected in accordance with clauses (a) and (l) of sub-rule (6) shall be four years and he may be elected for one more time. (8) Work of Credit Information Center , duties and rights shall be as follows: :-
(a) From member institutions noObtain details of Shani members' loans,
(B) _ Analyzing and classifying the details received according to clause (A),
(c) Arranging arrangements for protection and confidentiality of received information and details,
(d) To provide loan information of related persons based on the demand of member institutions in connection with providing loans to member institutions,
(e) To use high-quality technology for information collection, protection and communication, as well as to adopt security measures,
(f) To perform other functions mentioned in the regulations of the Centre.
(9) While approving the regulations of the Credit Information Center, the Registrar shall take the advice of Nepal Rastra Bank.
(10) The fee structure for the services provided by the credit information center will be as mentioned in the procedure passed by the general meeting.
(11) The operation of the Credit Information Center shall be in accordance with the procedure approved by the General Assembly subject to the Act, these rules and regulations.
(12) Pursuant to sub-rule (4), the entities that purchase shares of the credit information center shall send representatives at the rate of one person to the general meeting.
