Section 30
Obligation to Commence and Continue Work
: (1) The Contractor shall commence exploration operations within ninety (90) days from the applicable date and shall continue such operations throughout the exploration period.
(2) After the feasibility program and budget are approved by the department, the contractor will start the feasibility work according to the schedule mentioned in the program. The contractor will start the development work according to the schedule mentioned in the program after the development program and budget are approved by the department and the production permit is issued.
(3) After starting commercial production, the contractor shall continue production as far as commercial production is possible.
(4) The Contractor shall not suspend any petroleum work without proper technical reasons and prior approval of the Department. Such prior approval shall not be required for temporary postponement in case of crisis situation or other similar reasons resulting in injury or serious damage to livelihood.
