(1) Except in cases where the Government of Nepal has issued a special order, a person who has received a diplomatic passport from any country and has been recommended by the relevant foreign diplomatic mission for a diplomatic visa, a person who has been deemed suitable for providing diplomatic facilities by the Government of Nepal, and a family member of a person who has received such a diplomatic passport, shall be granted diplomatic status. Visa will be issued.
(2) The diplomatic visa will be granted once or repeatedly on the basis of reciprocity until the time of working in Nepal.
(3) Application for diplomatic visa should be made in the format as per schedule-1. However, if there is a request or recommendation with details from a foreign diplomatic mission or an authorized body for such work, it will not be necessary to submit an application according to Schedule-1.
