Rule 2
Definition
In this regulation, unless the subject or context requires otherwise,–
(a) “Act” means the Immigration Act, 2049.
(b) "Tourist" means a foreigner who spends at least one night or twenty-four hours in Nepal.
(c) "Family" means husband, wife and mother, father dependent son, daughter.
(d) "hiking area" means the area designated by the Government of Nepal for trekking.
(e) "Mission" means the Nepali Embassy, Nepali Consulate General and Nepali Consulate located abroad and the term also refers to the organization or official representing the Government of Nepal abroad on a permanent or temporary basis.
(f) "Agency" means a person who provides services to foreigners during the period of arrival, presence and departure of foreigners or an organization approved by the Government of Nepal and an organization that arranges the movement of passengers.
(g) "Visa year" means the period from January 1 to December 31 of any year for the purpose of these regulations.
