: If the offender's behavior improves while in prison, except for the following offenders, and if he pays fifty percent of the prison sentence, his prison sentence can be reduced as prescribed by the prison:-
(a) having been sentenced to imprisonment for life, "(a1) having been convicted for the offense of causing death, maiming or causing bodily harm by using acid or other inflammable substance or other deadly chemical substance,
(b) Convicted of an offense related to coercion,
(c) Convicted for corruption-related offences, 7 Amended by the Act to amend some Nepal Acts related to the Civil Code, 2075. Added by Act, 2079 to amend certain laws related to corn criminal offenses and criminal procedure.
(d) Convicted of human trafficking and trafficking offences,
(e) Convicted for kidnapping and hostage-taking offences,
(f) Convicted of drug trafficking and “business-related offences,
(g) Convicted of an offense related to organized crime,
(h) having been convicted of an offense related to money laundering,
(i) having been convicted of an offense involving torture or tax, cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment,
(h) Convicted for crimes related to crimes against humanity.
