In this Act, unless the subject or the context otherwise requires, -
(a) "Crime Code" means the Civil Code, 2074.
(b) "Offender" means a person convicted of an offense by a court.
(c) "Law" shall mean the law in force for the time being.
(d) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this Act.
(e) "Probation officer" means a probation officer appointed or appointed under section 49.
(f) "Probation and Parole Board" means the Probation and Parole Board under section 38.
(g) "Parole officer" means a parole officer appointed or designated under section 49.
(h): "Criminal Procedure Code" means the Civil Criminal Procedure Code, 2074.
(j) "Committee" means the Punishment Recommendation Committee under section 46.
