: (1) If it is found that any consumer has suffered loss, damage or loss from the inspection or investigation conducted in accordance with section 20, the department may order the relevant licensee, direct seller or distributor to pay a reasonable amount of compensation to such consumer.
(2) If an order is received according to sub-section (1), the licensee, direct seller or distributor of goods shall provide the amount according to such order to the concerned consumer within fifteen days of receiving the order and inform the department thereof.
(3) If the amount of compensation is not provided within the period as per sub-section (2), the department shall provide the amount of compensation to the consumer who suffered from the bond held by such licensee.
