(1) The Juvenile Court shall pay reasonable compensation from the offender in a lump sum or periodically, taking into consideration the damage caused to the education, physical and mental health, development and family of the victimized children, not less than the amount of the fine imposed on the offender for the offense against children according to the prevailing law and this Act.
(2) If there is a situation where the amount of fine cannot be collected from the offender according to sub-section (1) or if such amount is collected, if the amount is found to be low or insufficient compared to the offense against the child, the Juvenile Court shall pay compensation to such children from the children's fund as per section 63.
(3) If the victim child dies before receiving the amount of compensation as per sub-section (1), such amount shall be given to his/her father, mother or other family members or guardians if they are not present.
(4) If there is a need to provide immediate treatment to children who are victims of crimes against children, or compensation or any kind of relief money, interim compensation must be provided in accordance with the prevailing law.
