(1) If the head of a public body or the information officer does not give, refuses to give, partially or wrongly gives information or destroys the information, if any person is harmed due to the fact that such person does not receive the information, partially or wrongly receives the information or destroys the information. He can file an application for compensation before the Commission within three months from the date of doing so.
(2) If found to be reasonable while examining the application received under sub-section (1), the commission may consider the actual loss suffered by the petitioner and pay compensation for reasonable compensation from the relevant agency.
