(1) The term of office of Chief Information Commissioner and Information Commissioner shall be five years and he shall not be re-appointed to that position.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (1), the Information Commissioner may be appointed to the post of Chief Information Commissioner subject to the term of office written in that sub-section.
(3) One month before the expiry of the term of office of the Chief Information Commissioner and Information Commissioners of the Commission, the recommendation committee as per sub-section (3) of Section 11 shall make a recommendation for new appointment.
